Bay Area Art Therapy uses a personal centered/strength based approach. Each client or family is seen as a unique case for their goals, strengths, and challenges. A personal centered therapy is an understanding approach that is non - judgemental and honest/friendly. The process involves listening, thinking together, coaching, sharing ideas, and seeking feedback.
Examine the values that guide your current choices and the desired outcome you are looking for.
Rediscover the strengths that have gotten you this far or have helped in the past.
Create a new positive narrative of who you are and where you would like to go in your life including the tools to help you get there.
Celebrate the forward movement and engage collaboratively to new challenges as they arise until goals are met.
Commitment to client: Each individual is seen as a capable whole person, equal, and unique with their own set of life experiences, guiding principles or spiritual beliefs, cultural and family customs. I bring a cultural humility and accepting curiosity in your journey. Rainbow families and individuals or those experiencing identity exploration are welcome here.
